HOW TO BUILD A YARD FIRE PIT

HOW TO BUILD A YARD FIRE PIT

Stone outdoor fire pits make a great addition to any home or garden space, but they aren't necessarily the easiest things to build. They've got so many curves that it's sometimes hard to get a good angle on everything. But with the right tools and materials in place, this project will be straightforward enough that even a first-timer could do it.

STEPS

  1. Choose the proper location first by researching any rules and regulations in your area. Make sure to space your fire pit far from anything flammable.
  2. Dig the ground area where you want your fire pit to be.
  3. Pour a compact layer of crushed stone into the pit.
  4. Begin to lay your stone in a circle and watch as it takes shape. Secure the stones.
  5. Place the fire bowl of your choosing into the stone pit.
